A former ninth-grade dropout addicted to drugs and alcohol, at the age of twenty Gary was sentenced to fifteen years in prison for carjacking, kidnapping, and armed robbery.
It was within the confines of a prison cell that he realized his life had a purpose and that he was the only one responsible for fulfilling it. And so the arduous task began of mining the diamond he discovered within himself.
During the years that followed he strategically transformed his life and became a leader and mentor to other prisoners. Now he speaks to young people and encourages them to believe in their genius. He is the author of Mining The Diamond In You and Black Multi-Genius.
